A multi-platform portal catering to the young cosmopolitans (Yocos) was launched recently. www. Itzamatch.com is the Philippines' first secure portal designed for singles to meet other singles.

"We have seen this market coming and are in continous work in finding creative ways to give them what they crave for," itzamatch.com marketing head Mary Anne Go said. Apart from providing comprehensive profiles for single to find people who share their interests and passions, the site has expanded its services to match their market's lifestyle. Once registration is validated and confirmed, members are free to surf the database and communicate with ther members, without needing to reveal their identity until the are certain and comfortable with the new "friends" the have met.

Memebers can avail themselves of the services through their mobile phones. "This process actually saves them from the pressure of the traditional matchmaking practice by well meaning but pushy relatives and friends, and from having to go through the tedious and sometimes awkward dating game," Go explained.

"These are the singles who are busy, so the don't have time not the inclination to endure the trial and errorprocess, or the stigma from hanging out in bars."

Although itzamatch.com is a matchmaking sit for the unattached hoping to find their eventual love mates, it became obvious that what the majority of their members were looking for were peers and events for them to celebrate singlehood, the management said.
